During the summer of 2021 when I was living in Denver, CO, I was approached by a fellow photographer, Chris Tracy (Christopher Tracy (christracyphotography.com)), who I was trying to schedule a shoot with and model for. Unfortunately, our schedules never allowed us to make that happen before I had to rush home to Alaska due to personal reasons. Since I was moving back home to The Last Frontier, Chris mentioned that he did photography for a website called DyingScene.com. It's a news blog focused on Punk Rock and its related sub-genres. News, Reviews, Interviews and more can be found on the site and it's a great way to broaden your Punk Rock horizons with over 9,000 bands to scroll through and check out. Not to mention the content of news and reviews/interviews that us contributors put out!
Chris mentioned that they didn't have anyone in the contributors in Alaska and thought it would be cool for me to bring Alaska's Punk Rock and it's sub-genres into the DyingScene community to help spread awareness for our local scene! I'm honored to say i have been a contributor for almost 2 years now and I've got so many more concerts lined up to shoot and hopefully more reviews to write about in the near future!
In the meantime, I'll put out content every so often (some with and some without photos!) consisting of reviews and/or photos that I've written/taken for DyingScene and hope you guys enjoy!
